Order planning basics
Separate stock orders from custom orders
A stock order usually uses an existing color, base and surface finish. This is the fastest path for trial orders and urgent stage costume projects. A custom order changes the foil color, pattern, width, backing or construction, so MOQ and timing must be quoted by project.
Use samples to reduce order risk
Foil spandex fabric should be sampled before bulk order because shine, stretch and hand feel are difficult to judge from photos. Buyers should test the sample by stretching, sewing and reviewing the surface under real lighting.
Confirm commercial details early
Ask for MOQ, available width, stock color options, sample timing, packing and estimated bulk lead time. For example, a buyer may compare 100 m / 109 yd trial order options before committing to larger team costume production.
Give suppliers enough RFQ context
The supplier can quote faster if the RFQ includes application, target color, estimated quantity, destination country and delivery date. For custom projects, include artwork, reference photos or approved color standards.
Confirm these points before you order
- Ask whether the fabric is stock or custom
- Confirm MOQ in both meters and yards
- Approve a physical sample before bulk production
- Share application, quantity, color target and delivery timing in the first RFQ
Turn this guide into a usable supplier request
Share the garment type, target look, stretch requirement and expected use environment.
Check color, hand feel, surface effect, stretch recovery and sewing behavior before bulk approval.
Include quantity, destination, timeline, custom needs and any testing or documentation requests.
Before you request a quotation
What is the MOQ for foil spandex fabric?
Many stock options start around 100 m / 109 yd, while custom projects may require a higher minimum depending on the requirement.
Should I approve a sample before ordering bulk fabric?
Yes. Sample approval is strongly recommended for stretch, color, surface effect and sewing review.
